Capitalism Could Work

Important duties of government according to Adam Smith in 1776 include: "protect, as far as possible every member of the society from the injustice and oppression of every other member of it”.

Resources + Workers + Capital: Creates Wealth

In a representative, functional government, capitalism can be and has been an economic system which inmproves the lives of the people. Entrepreneurs have benefitted from the labor of their workers. Workers have benefitted from better working conditions and improved productivity.

Our Constitution allows the people of the United States of America to have a government which will regulate capitalism or will not regulate capitalism. The choice is ours.

In the frequent situations when governments are weak and do not represent all of society, power and wealth become more concentrated. The few with more power acquired control of government and the agencies of government. The benefits of capital and labor are then diverted from the public.
